Key responsibilities 

  • You are responsible for the organization and implementation of the accounting processes for the 5 legal entities in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as payroll accounting and VAT compliance, and transfer pricing the Netherlands-Belgium.
  • You are broadly well aware of the various accounting processes within the department and you ensure continuity with regard to these processes and act as a contact for management in the event of leave or illness of the manager.
  • You are responsible for the financial administration to the extent that (legal) requirements are met and provide (legal) financial reporting, both internally and externally.
  • You take care of the Financial administration (accounting and VAT) and act as contact for external auditors and for Global Tax.
  • You take care of the Transfer pricing BE-NL
  • You report financial results – internally and externally – (statutory and other), VAT returns and corporate tax.
  • You act as key user for global IT application within Finance (global).
  • You lead a team of direct reports (3 people).
  • You support the Financial Controller EU



  • You have a thorough knowledge of accounting and VAT and legal requirements (US – BE – NL), transfer pricing.
  • You have thorough analytical insight into business processes and cost structure.
  • You have thorough knowledge of the Lawter accounting policy and financial procedures and guidelines, including J Sox.
  • You have applied knowledge of applicable legal and other EHS requirements and company regulations.
  • You can use PC and peripherals, standard office applications and company-specific software.
  • You are a Key user of financial application for the F&A colleagues (global).
  • You have minimum a Bachelors-level degree in Accounting or equivalent discipline is required.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
