For its headquarters in Europe (Kallo), Lawter is looking for a:

 

PRODUCT SAFETY & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST FOR EUROPE

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with product safety regulations for the produced and sold products in the EU and Americas.

Prepare SDS's and labels and assure that they reflect finished product compositions  and properties.

Prepare, submit and obtain product and substance registrations  within Europe and America.

Provide guidance, training programs and seminars for our client's personnel regarding the document  requirements of GHS, transportation regulations and other regulations as required.

Prepare appropriate and timely responses to both internal and external customer inquiries. The response time and quality of the response for customer inquiries is of great importance for our client.

Follow all the latest developments in the regulatory field and keep up with the legislative changes.

Knowledge in various inventories in use and registration of products (REACH-worldwide, TSCA, EURASIA, etc.).

Work closely with different departments (Marketing, Sales and R&D) to implement business regulatory programs and participate in stage-gate screening of new raw materials/products and management  of change processes and related MOC processes.

Review product compositions to assure compliance with chemical control regulations and assist in the preparation of any requested notifications to government agencies.

Represent Lawter interests in external scientific and regulatory fora, including key industry associations.

Visit to domestic and international locations. The job requires approximately 10% travelling.

 

 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a regulatory affairs environment.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated functional expertise in Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance in the international chemical industry and has a dynamic approach towards the company and the existing team.

 

 

Skills and abilities:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong knowledge of EU regulatory laws. Experience in other regions are an asset.

Strong English oral and written communication skills are required. Dutch skills are a plus.

Strong team player.

The position may require a few times a year travel to domestic locations, and occasional travel to international locations.
